About
Hi I’m Dana Wood!
I am a Yoga Alliance–certified RYT 200 and a Level 1 Thai Yoga Bodywork practitioner certified through the Devanandi School of Yoga.
I have been practicing yoga for over 20 years and teaching since 2017. Keep reading below to learn more about my journey.
I love creating space—whether through movement, conversation, or shared experiences—
where people can slow down, reconnect, and remember who they are beneath the noise.
What led me here
My work is deeply shaped by my personal journey with yoga and the ways it has transformed my life. A pivotal moment was attending Rod Stryker’s retreat in Costa Rica in 2018. That retreat awakened something in me and planted the seed that yoga was not just a practice I loved, but a path I was meant to walk more fully.
I followed that call by completing my first yoga teacher training in Cusco, Peru in 2020. Immersing myself in the practice in such a powerful and intentional setting allowed me to experience yoga as a tool for deep healing, self-inquiry, and transformation. Yoga changed the trajectory of my life by reconnecting me to myself—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—and teaching me how to meet myself with compassion.
These experiences shape how I teach and hold space today. I lead from a place of empathy, authenticity, and lived understanding, offering yoga not as a performance or destination, but as a supportive practice for growth, healing, and becoming more fully oneself.
